From 1996 and on the eve of the Feast of the Patron Duane Sea
celebrates the Living Chess, a story told through a play performed by
students and based on a game of chess. In fact, the audience attending a play more than the
contemplation of the development of a game, so they do not need to know
chess to understand and enjoy LIVELY AJEDREZ Xabier. The book tells a
different story every year, which is conducted with the presence of a
narrator and two players, a school and a Guest of Honor, who read the
plays of a game contested in the history of Chess.
In recent editions are represented "a departure for peace", "Jaume
I and Al-Azraq, Xàbia and piracy," "The Last Neanderthal Foradada
Cova," "Chronicle of the planet Ki", the classic Valencian fifteenth
century "Scachs Poema de amor", "The struggle for life", the chess for
a living theatrical adaptation of "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's
Stone," "The important thing is to participate" in 2008 and "E pur si
muove" . the guests of honor of the thirteen editions have been held:
the chess player Miguel Illescas, Quique Llobell and Julen Arizmendi;
journalist Matías Prats; astronaut, adopted son of the village of
Xàbia, Pedro Duque, the tennis player Juan Carlos Ferrero , the
paleoanthropologist, director of the project Atapuerca, Juan Luis
Arsuaga, the judoka Isabel Fernández; FERMAX, the sailing team from the
Nautical Club of Xàbia, tennis, Son of the Town of Xàbia, David Ferrer,
the former international player Valencia CF Fernando Gomez, 2008 and
last year the scientist James Grisolía. |
