Amidst ricefields and forest you will find this exclusive villa at eight minutes drive from the centre of Ubud in a small village Pejeng. The
complex offers a unique combination of fine tropical architecture and
western comfort. And is a perfect holiday residence for families or
individuals looking for comfort, service, privacy and a natural
environment.
Tugu means monument or tower in Indonesian language and
the tower in the villa, designed and constructed by an
American-Indonesian architect, easily led to its name.
Each room has
an individual character, realized in first class materials and is
located around a beautiful swimming pool with infinity-border and a
stunning view. All five bedrooms have air-conditioning and a (ceiling)
fan, although the climate near Ubud offers rather low temperatures at
night, between 20 and 25 degrees Celsius.
The guests are invited to
use the well equipped kitchen, the open dining room and the terraces
around the swimming pool. The staff will take care of you. On request
they can provide meals and arrange extra services like transport,
massage and babysitting.
Your stay will make you feel being at home,
but not too far from daily Balinese life, natural sounds and cultural
events in Ubud and surroundings. Not far from the villa there are plenty
of attractions to visit, like temples, a local market, mountains,
museums and art galleries.
The village Pejeng has made history
longtime before Ubud did and was part of the Gianyar kingdom. Any
visitor will keep different impressions in mind, caused by the cycle of
rice-culture that takes about four months. Some will see the so called
sawa's like a mirror, others will see the intensive green landscape and
some a golden carpet, just before the rice is ready for harvesting.
